Bukowina Tatrzańska is one of the most beautiful places in the Polish mountains. Its top location at 1000 m above the sea level translates into its unique spa microclimate.
The complex of BUKOVINA Terma Hotel SPA is located at the foot of the Tatras among spruce forests being part of the Tatra National Park.
In the municipality, there are such tourism attractions like the highest summit of the Polish Tatras, i.e. (2499 m above the sea level), the Morskie Oko Lake, Pięciu Stawów Polskich Valley and Wielka Siklawa waterfalls, as well as the Białka river, which divides the municipality into two ethnographic regions: Spisz and Podhale.
At its south border, the Tatra National Park, where the BUKOVINA Hotel is located, neighbours the national park of Slovakia, with which it forms the International Reserve of Biosphere recorded in the UNESCO list.
Here, wayfarers may meet bears, roe deer, stags, marmots, chamois and a lot of wonderful plants. Crystal-clean water, impeccable mountain air and wild nature will make you fall in love with that place. In the municipality, there are 2 border crossings to Slovakia and the Przełom Białki Reserve. In the closest neighbourhood, there are Zakopane, a dam in Niedzica, Nowy Targ with its famous markets and airport (offering parachute jumps).
Another attraction of the municipality is the folklore of clothes, dialect and many events, like Sabałowe Bajania in summer or Highland Carnival in winter. These events are held in the largest wooden building in Poland: Dom Ludowy.
During beautiful and cloudless weather, you will be able to see mountain ranges from some locations, like Gorce and even Babia Góra. And from the Rysy, Kraków, which is 100 km away.
